The 11. Turkish Sports Traumatology Arthroscopy & Knee Surgery Congress took place on October 2-6th, 2012 in Ankara with the participation of 520 national & international delegates. The Society of Preventive Hip Surgery was one of the scientific contributors of this 4 day long congress where all aspects and developments of arthroscopic and open joint surgery were discussed. The congress president was Prof. Reha Tandogan, one our board members. Panels, lectures and workshops covered such popular topics as arthroscopic FAI Surgery, limits of hip arthroscopy and extra-articular hip endoscopy. Dr. Michael Dienst was one of the invited speakers who shared his vast expertise on the subject. Our society organized a panel titled "CURRENT CONCEPTS IN PREVENTIVE HIP SURGERY" under the moderation od Dr. Asım Kayaalp & Dr. Bülent Atilla.

The perspective of different orthopaedic subspecilties generated a lot of interest. Our society aims to continue these multi-disciplinary scientific activities with the collaboration of even wider specialties such as sports medicine, physiotherapy, radiology and team doctors.
